"You said you'd be interested in Attractions, right?" he said. That should've been my first clue.
When he pulled the iconic purple folder out from underneath the table I screamed (probably louder than necessary) and jumped for joy. That was it. The letter I had been waiting on my entire life and my ticket out of Jersey had arrived. I was to move into my apartment and meet my roommates on February 7th, and start my new job as a Walt Disney World Attractions host shortly after. My journey as a Walt Disney World Cast Member had finally begun.
The Disney College Program was a great way to get my foot in the door with The Mouse. Had it not been for this program I can almost guarantee that I wouldn't be in Florida now. The DCP is where I met Bryan, and his friend and co-worker Patrick. Bryan and I had been friends on Facebook before arriving in Florida, but we didn't meet in person until about halfway through our program. For whatever reason I struck his interest and we just kinda fell together. I met Patrick about two months before the end of the program. None of us wanted to leave Disney....so we decided to stay.
Crazy things have happened the past 7 months in Florida, and we still have a long road ahead of us. You'll definitely hear a lot from us about a great many things, including food and attraction reviews, hideouts around Disney and Orlando, and maybe even some of the bizarre and magical happenings in the day of a life of a Cast Member. So sit back, relax, and be our Guest as we share with you the life of a couple of Walt Disney World Cast Members that are keeping your dreams on track.
